Refund Policy

Note: This policy is provided for reference and is pending legal review. For customers in Japan, the Specified Commercial Transactions Act notice takes precedence.

1. Scope

This policy applies to purchases of the Diagnostic Report and other paid services (collectively, the "Services") offered by Arstruct Inc. ("we", "us") through Code Rakuda.

2. Nature of the Services

The Services are digital services. When you purchase a Diagnostic Report, we begin the automated and manual work required to produce your report immediately after your payment is confirmed. Because the deliverable is digital content that is generated for you and delivered on screen and as a downloadable PDF, it cannot be returned once it has been produced.

3. All Sales Are Final

Fees paid are, in principle, non-refundable. Given the nature of the Services, once work to provide the Diagnostic Report has begun, we cannot accommodate cancellation or refund requests made for the customer's convenience. This includes, without limitation, requests based on the content of the findings, the score awarded, a change of mind, or a decision not to act on the report.

The Services are not subject to the cooling-off system under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions of Japan. By completing checkout you acknowledge that the Services begin immediately and you agree to this policy.

4. Customers in the United Kingdom — Right to Cancel

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 normally give you 14 days to cancel a contract for digital content. Because the Diagnostic Report is produced and delivered immediately, that right ends once delivery has begun.

Before payment, checkout asks you to confirm the following: "I request immediate access to the digital report and acknowledge that I lose my right to cancel once delivery has begun. I agree to the Terms of Service and Refund Policy." By giving that express consent and acknowledgement you waive the 14-day cancellation right for this purchase, as permitted by Regulation 37. If you do not wish to waive it, do not complete checkout — we cannot supply the report without beginning delivery.

This section applies to consumers. Purchases made for purposes relating to a trade, business, craft, or profession are not consumer contracts and no statutory cancellation right arises.

5. Limited Exceptions

We address the following situations individually, which may include refunding the fee for the affected purchase:

  • We are unable to provide the Diagnostic Report due to reasons attributable to us.
  • You were charged more than once for the same purchase (duplicate charge).

Where a refund is granted, it is issued to the original payment method through Stripe. Depending on your card issuer, it may take up to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement. Our liability is limited to the scope set out in our Terms of Service.

6. How to Contact Us About a Charge

If you believe one of the situations in Section 5 applies, contact us through our contact form within 14 days of the charge, including your registered email address, the date of purchase, and a description of the issue. We will respond within 5 business days.

7. Pricing, Currency, and Taxes

On the English pages you choose your billing country before payment, and that choice sets the currency and the way tax is shown:

  • United States (USD). Prices are shown exclusive of tax. Any applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your billing address and added to the total.
  • United Kingdom (GBP). Prices are shown inclusive of UK VAT. The VAT amount is itemised at checkout and on your receipt; it is not added on top of the displayed price.

Customers billed in Japanese yen (JPY) are charged the tax-inclusive price shown on the Japanese pages.

8. Cancellation

The Diagnostic Report is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. There is no recurring charge to cancel and no renewal to stop.
